Amanda America Clementine MCDANIEL-EADS was born 4 November, 1834 in Davie County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Albert "Allen" MCDANIEL and Consadie "Sadie" EADES-MCDANIEL. In 1860 we find Amanda living in the household of a Rebecca MCDANIEL. I am not sure if this her Mother Consadie and perhaps Rebecca was her Middle or First Name. I have not found that to be an exact fact, just an assumption on my part. Also living in the household is a Lutisha MCDANIEL which I believe to be Amanda`s Sister, as I know for a fact she had a sister named "Lutisha". There were no males listed as living in this household. Rebecca is listed as being 41 years of age and Amanda is listed as being 21, so Rebecca is certainly old enough to have been Amanda`s Mother. According to
records I have located on Ancestry Website Amanda`s Father Albert Allen MCDANIEL passed away between 1853 and 1860. Which could certainly explain why there was no Male listed on the 1860 Census.
There were two Marriage Dates circulating for Amanda and William Franklin EADS SR. The one that I found documentation for was 10 Nov. 1860. It was listed in the North Carolina Marriage Collection 1731-2004. The parties mentioned were Franklin EADES and Amanda MCDANIEL. Marriage was stated to have taken place in Davie County, North Carolina. While the Ancestry Database had no Image Avaliable for viewing, I was able to get the record number: Batch No. M516012-Date:1868, Source Call # 6330295 Film
I was not able to locate Amanda or William on the 1870 Census anywhere. However, I did find her listed in the 1880 and 1900 Census for St. Francois Township, Wayne County, Missouri.
